Из цирковой традиции — The Flying Trampalinos и английского комедийного сериала Monty Python’s Flying Circus.
Flying Banana –
Martin Cooke, Vagabond Writer
“We are a writers actors artists and musicians association (WAAAMA) trained in Moscow, Mexico, Manchester and Madagascar! The reason we exist is to make people ache with laughter. Yes we do use harmony hairspray, it keeps the flies off. Our favourite colour is oblong, we love to drink milky oolong and we’re inordinately interested in yoghurt knitting”.
  • Emmett Elvin, Composer
"Born within smelling distance of Olde England’s famed cockle sheds, Mr Elvin swiftly found himself shackled to a most demanding muse. She refused to allow him to do his school homework, insisting instead that he should develop an obsession with both freshwater fish and the construction of strange ditties that would baffle as much as enchant. He has been attempting to live in London for over 20 years now but longs for the day when he can once again swim with the pike and the chub in the wild rivers of Heaven’s imagination."
  • Sergey Taff, Sound designer
“About 12 years ago having been lost in the jungles of South India I finally made it back to the Banana Island having been teleported there by writing electronic nursery rhymes in Goa jungles”.
  • Marina Pietlovich, Actress
“Stage diva, goddess, nymph, divine, will you ever be mine?" the director pleaded, begging on his knees as he asked me to be part of his troupe. Suddenly, my alarm rang, waking me up as I headed to rehearsal. “Sorry, lads, the stage diva's place is taken, but we have pirates, pigs, punk, and fun! The rest is history! A couple of years later, I—a Serbian professional actress and drama teacher—am still rocking it with my banana crew. Because it’s simple: to play is to be!”
  • Shushan Janoyan, Actress
“The one and only STAGE DIVA! (Even though she is not picky at all, you may call her "Your banana Majesty" if you wish).
Once upon a time, Shushan was an ambitious GITIS graduate dreaming to conquer the best stages of the world. However, one fateful day, she tripped over a banana peel, and it changed her entire life. Bearing a title like "STAGE DIVA," it’s no surprise that she doesn’t just steal the spotlight – she owns it, rents it out, and probably decorates it with gold (you know, as most Armenians do). But don’t be fooled by the glamorous exterior—behind the diva’s glittering eyes lies a heart full of love for her banana mates, because while you’re flying so high, it’s all about the outstanding team that keeps you from falling down”.
  • Masha Smakhtina, Actress
“I’ve just slipped on a random banana peel one day and the next thing I remembered was trying on an owl costume and flying into a magical world of the “Flying banana” theatre! Being able to interact with the audience of all ages and welcoming them into our stories is my true passion. Adding a hint of unstable and crazy emotions into my characters is a part of who I am, so don’t be alarmed (or actually BE alarmed)”.
  • Arthur Cooke, Actor
“I am a half english half russian bloke. Have been acting since the day I was born, so might as well make a career out of it. Though I prefer viewing my acting not as playing another character, but being him. Once I step on the stage, Arthur Cooke no longer exists. He has gone, far far away, in a place that no man has ever seen or heard of. It might be a little bit confusing at first, but I was blessed to get used to it from an early age. Currently watching my adventurous and exciting life unfold, and am always open to new possibilities”.
  • Freddie Eddie Cooke, Actor
    Old as the world
    Young as a toffee
    Bold as brass
    Trombone Larking
    Freddie Eddie Cooke
    A whizz and a wonder
    You ain’t see nothing
    He thinks he can fly
    Freddie Eddie Cooke
    Watch him whizz
    He’s Freddie Eddie Cooke
    Do you get my drift!
  • Andre Dogadov, Actor, Clown
“I am an impostor actor and director. Once I got into a street theatre because of a balalaika, on which I played not music, but clowning (as it should be traditionally anyway). They told me, "Stay with us." I replied, "Say no more!" They told me, "You're the author!" and I believed. A bit later I found out that bananas are meant to fly, and I believed again, and now I fly with them, because I am also a banana. Come and see!”
  • Mary Frolova, Actress
“I was born innocent and pure like Virginia. So I’m playing this role. One man came to my performance with his daughter and said “today you’re going to see the real princess” and she still believes that I’m really one. So I think this is my main goal to make pure hearts believe that I’m a princess. Who knows may be I need to do a genetic test and live in a castle as well. Hope I will Marry a Duke one day”.
  • Rade Kostič, Actor
“I'm a Serbian actor, born in Bosnia, living in Russia. Because of that, I cannot precisely define the place I call home. My home is everywhere a stage exists.
Once, someone really smart (I can't remember his name, but I know he was wise) said that the whole world is a stage. Because of that, I feel like the whole world is my home.
I am a child of the woods, rivers, rain, and sun, of green, soft grass and pure, fresh air, of cold water and healthy food. My friends are animals and other creatures that exist in my imagination—children, of course, and adults who still feel like children at heart”.
  • Helen Kaptan, Artist, Set Designer
As a child, Elena was very creative. She painted wherever she could: on the wallpaper, the margins of textbooks, and even on her grandmother's back while she was napping. Her favorite activity was making up funny stories and drawing illustrations for them. Teachers often scolded her for this, but Elena did not give up. And she doesn't give up to this day:) Go bananas!”
У Flying Banana есть своя театральная студия для детей и взрослых Banana Drama, где студенты от 6 до 66 практикуют английский язык через театральное искусство. Ведут занятия профессиональные актеры и актрисы нашего театра.

Образование или развлечение?
To Play is To Be - является девизом нашего театра.
